A: Saul sought out Samuel or specifically called for him through a medium at Endor out of desperation because God would not answer him regarding the impending threat from the Philistine army.

A:King Saul's perception of himself was  complex and contradictory, shifting from initial profound insecurity to later self deception and  narcissistic behavior.
